Birth and Babies is run by Emma May, a NCT qualified antenatal teacher, who is also tranining with the NCT to teach Yoga for Pregnancy

Whether you are planning to go to hospital or are having your baby at home, learning how to work with your body during labour can help to make the birth of your baby easier and a more positive experience.
Birth Skills workshops suit lots of people, for example :
- couples who want all their antenatal preparation in one class
- couples who want to build on knowledge from NHS classes
- women, with partners, extending the skills they've learn in pregancy yoga/pilates

- Learning why and how to breath in labour
- Massage and partner support
- Using gravity and positions
- Practising relaxation techniques
- Self-help ways of coping with pain
- Optimum feotal positioning
- Pelvic floor exercises
- Creating your ideal birth environment
Workshops include discussion, group work, teacher talk, practical activities and time to make new friends and ask questions. Courses are most useful to women and their partners from 25 weeks onwards.
Workshops take place at All Saints Hall, Cottenham, Cambridge, CB24 8SA
Snacks and drinks are provided, you will need to bring your own lunch and cushion/pillow
Workshops are held on the last Saturday of the month, 10am - 5pm
£90 per couple

For more information, to book a place, or if you require a consessionary place contact EmmaA personalised and private service, with the aim to helping parents make the best possible decisions about their about labour, birth and early parenting. One-to-one childbirth preparation can be useful if
- fitting in regular classes is not possible; sessions can be arranged around you schedule
- you have specific topics you want to focus on
- you are have a 2nd or 3rd baby and want to do things differently
- you prefer to learn as a couple in private
One-to-one sessions will be held in the comfort of your own home, at a mutually convienient time (evenings or weekends). Number of hours will depend on the topics to be covered, for example:
£60: 2 hours (focus on specific topic)
£80: 3 hours (debrief previous birth plus specific discussions)
£100: 4 hours (comprehensive birth preparation)
£200: 8 hours (birth preparation, breastfeeding & babycare)

Birth Fit
Birth Fit is a gentle yoga-based exercise and relaxation class especially designed for pregnant women.
Classes are a fun and relaxed way to exercise (including pelvic floor exercises and good posture for pregnancy), practice breathing and positions for birth, focus on your baby, take time out to relax, and discuss regnancy and birth

Birth Fit (Science Park)
. Classes currently running at the Revolution Health & Fitness Centre, 24 Cambridge Science Park, Milton Road, Cambridge, CB4 OFN. Fridays, 1.30 - 2.30pm
£48 per block of eight consecutive classes.

Birth Fit (Cottenham)
Classes will start on the 11th of May 2009. Classes will take place in Cottenham.
Mondays, 7- 8.30pm
